My name is Tanya and I was born and raised in the Goulburn Valley. I am a mother to 6 children who all live with me in Shepparton.  I am also a certified Doula (birth attendant), conservationist, vegetarian and all round animal lover.

My passion for photography goes back many years where it began as a hobby. In 2013 a friend and fellow Birth Doula was planning the home birth of her 4th child and she asked me to capture the birth for her. It was there and then that I knew that I wanted to do this again and again and again!! I really LOVE birth photography. And I do believe it is so much more than just "birth photography", especially when your birth photographer is an experienced Doula!

Birth photography is not just something that I want to capture but something that I have had captured! The birth of my first son (5th child) was captured by my eldest daughter, but the difficult lighting situation made it a challenge for her to capture (see image below). When I was pregnant with my 6th child I knew that I needed to have a professional photographer present so I had the absolute pleasure to share the birth of my 6th child with Liz Arcus who captured the whole event beautifully.

Although I am based in Shepparton I am always happy to travel. I have photographed births in Melbourne, Wangaratta, weddings in Wilson's Promontory and fresh 48's in Bendigo. So get in touch and let's chat about how I can help you.
